Job DetailsKey Responsibilities and Duties:
- Represent community development districts and other special districts in Florida
- Attend and advise at public hearings, board meetings, and legislative sessions (some travel required)
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, development agreements, procurement documents, and financing transactions
- Provide counsel on land use, real estate, construction, and public policy issues
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and client communications
- Work directly with clients, elected officials, and government representatives from the start
- Collaborate with senior attorneys in a team-based environment while taking ownership of assigned matters
You should have most of the following:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar
- Strong academic performance (top 15% preferred) or equivalent professional accomplishments
- 0–3 years of legal experience, ideally with exposure to public finance, real estate, construction, land use, or local government law
- Excellent legal writing, research, and public speaking skills
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative, team-driven environment
- Intellectual curiosity, personal accountability, and client-facing confidence
- Willingness to travel within Florida (including occasional evening hearings)
